Mohammad E. Kondri is the International Business Development Officer and Commissioner of Life Sciences & Healthcare Technologies at the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles. He is responsible for advancing Canada’s life sciences and healthcare industry alliances, strategic partnerships, R&D collaborations, technology transfers, corporate developments and cross-border investments in the SWUSA. Prior to joining the Consulate, he was Associate Director of Operations at Covance Bioanalytical and Immunology Services Laboratories, a large multi-national pharmaceuticals development services Inc. Preceding, he worked with increasing responsibilities as the drug discovery and development scientist, tech scout and corporate liaison at Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Pharmaceutical Research Institute, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Howard Hughes Medical Institute the renowned non-profit medical research centers. He has authored and co-authored several publications in the areas of genomics, DNA manipulations and biopharmaceutical therapeutics development for cancer and immunological diseases, and contributed to the discovery, development and commercialization of several biopharmaceuticals and drug candidates. He holds number of patents with potential drug development applications in immune-oncology. He has a MPH in Molecular Microbiology & Public Health from Eastern University of Washington and BS in Microbiology & Public Health from Washington State University and MIS/MBA in Information Technology & Business Management from the Steven’s Institute of Technology.
